Design Tip

“Do physical work: making physical work allows for happy accidents but it's also a great way to slow down your thinking or process.

The seductivity of the computer or ipad is real, and the temptation to create something in photoshop as opposed to making something physically is there for all of us. But while the computer may be faster and easier, that doesn't mean it's better. Working digitally means we skip a lot of steps in the process which can actually be valuable forks in the road. Even if the physical work never makes it to the final outcome, working physically, with paper, ink, objects etc. can open up your process and give you a bit more space outside of the screen to process your thoughts.”
