Since graduating with a degree in Illustration, Holly Macdonald has worked for a range of publishers including Transworld, Bloomsbury and Oneworld as well as design consultancy Big Fish.
Most recently she was Art Director at HarperCollins UK, where she created covers across all genres for both fiction and non-fiction adult titles. From classic brands such as Agatha Christie to bestselling fantasy by Juno Dawson (Her Majesty's Royal Coven) and Rebecca Kuang (Babel) along with debut fiction by Gail Honeyman (Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine) and non-fiction such as Murder: The Biography. At the end of 2023 she left HarperCollins to pursue a freelance design career.
